Fanatec GT3 Endurance: Rim, Button Module and Stickers

The Fanatec GT3 Endurance is easier to understand once you separate the parts behind the name. The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance is the rim you hold. The Podium Button Module Endurance supplies the buttons, display and LEDs. A compatible hub connects the assembly to your Fanatec system.

That distinction matters when buying hardware, and it also matters when choosing stickers: the face of the GT3 Endurance rim and the face of the button module are different surfaces. This guide explains the combination, the main bundle options and which Lovely Stickers collection matches your setup.

What exactly is the Fanatec GT3 Endurance?

The rim is a 318 mm aluminium design with rubber grips. Its broad front plate has openings for the Podium Button Module Endurance controls. In the assembled combination, the module sits behind this plate, with its controls and display accessible through the openings.

Buying the rim on its own does not include the electronic button module. Fanatec lists mounting hardware, blank printable sticker sheets and a squeegee with the standalone rim; those blank sheets are separate from the printed decorative kits sold by Lovely Stickers. See the official rim specification and package contents.

The parts of the GT3 Endurance combination

What each component does
Component Role in the setup
GT3 Endurance rim The grips and front plate: the visible surface covered by an Endurance rim sticker kit.
Podium Button Module Endurance The electronic controls, OLED display and LEDs. Often shortened to PBME.
Hub The central interface for the rim and electronics. Podium Hub and ClubSport Universal Hub V2 are different options.
Paddle module The controls behind the wheel. Which paddles you get depends on the hub or bundle.
Quick release The connection between wheel and base. Wheel-side and base-side versions must match.
Wheel base The motor unit attached to the cockpit. A steering-wheel bundle does not include this automatically.

The PBME is not a hub, and a hub is not a wheel base. If you are building an assembly from separate parts, check the full combination rather than assuming that the name “GT3 Endurance” describes everything you need. Fanatec’s PBME guide explains its hub requirements.

Podium or ClubSport Xbox: which complete wheel?

Fanatec lists two assembled-component bundles around the Endurance rim. They share the rim and PBME, but the hub and paddle configuration differ.

  • Podium Steering Wheel GT3 Endurance: the listed bundle combines the rim, PBME, Podium Hub, Podium Advanced Paddle Module and QR2 Wheel-Side. This Podium Hub configuration does not provide Xbox compatibility.
  • ClubSport Steering Wheel GT3 Endurance for Xbox: uses the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox, with ClubSport magnetic shift paddles. Fanatec’s bundle listing includes QR2 Wheel-Side; the Advanced Paddle Module is an optional upgrade.

For either route, read the current bundle contents before ordering. A wheel bundle still needs a compatible base, and a quick release supplied separately in the package may require assembly.

Check platform, base and quick release separately

On PC, use the compatible Fanatec hardware combination listed for your chosen bundle. For PlayStation, the base must carry the appropriate PlayStation licence: the rim or button module cannot add it to a PC-only base. For Xbox, choose an Xbox-compatible wheel assembly, such as the bundle using the Xbox-licensed Universal Hub.

Then check the quick release already fitted to your base. A QR2 wheel-side connection needs the matching base-side system; an older QR1 setup is not automatically ready for it. Also check game support for the display and controls. The physical presence of an input does not guarantee that every game or console exposes the same functions.

Use the compatibility sections of the two bundle pages above and the official Podium Hub guide to check your exact hardware before buying parts.

GT3 Endurance, GT3 rim and PBME skins are not interchangeable

The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3, without “Endurance” in its name, is a different rim. It shares the 318 mm diameter and grip shape, but uses a different face arrangement around the Universal Hub’s button clusters. Fanatec illustrates the distinction in its GT3 versus GT3 Endurance comparison.

For stickers, start with the surface you can see:

You do not need to buy both skins to decorate the visible Endurance rim face. A matching livery name also does not establish fit: Fanatec, Simube and other wheel listings can show similar artwork on different templates.

Choose a livery for your GT3 Endurance rim

The Lovely Stickers GT3 Endurance collection contains printed designs for this specific Fanatec rim. Two examples are the Porsche 911 GT3 R-inspired livery and the V Series Cad Red IMSA-inspired livery.

Choose by the overall look of your cockpit: pick up a colour from the seat or chassis, or use a contrasting design to make the wheel stand out. The product pictures let you compare the artwork around the display and controls before ordering.

These are decorative vinyl kits, with no steering wheel included. The linked Endurance listings specify laminated polymer-based vinyl and installation without dismantling the wheel. They are regular adhesive stickers, not skins designed for repeated removal and reuse.

Before applying, confirm the template against your actual rim, read the kit instructions and prepare a clean, dry surface. Check the position of each opening before removing the backing, and keep the display and controls unobstructed. Our Fanatec wheel skin tutorial offers a visual reference; follow the layout of your own Endurance kit when aligning the pieces. Hardware assembly is a separate job: follow Fanatec’s PBME installation instructions for that.

If the model or surface is unclear, send a front-facing photo and the product link through our Contact page or email info@lovelystickers.com before ordering. This is especially useful when buying a kit as a gift; our sim racing gift guide explains what to check with the recipient.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Podium Button Module Endurance included with the rim?

No. The standalone ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance is sold without the module. The Podium and ClubSport Xbox steering-wheel bundles described above include it; check the exact listing you are purchasing.

Can the Endurance rim be mounted without the PBME?

Fanatec allows physical mounting to a suitable hub without the module using shorter bolts. That is different from the PBME-equipped combination shown here: mounting the rim alone does not supply the module’s display or controls.

Will a Podium Button Module Endurance sticker fit the Endurance rim face?

Choose the rim-specific kit for that surface. The PBME face and the Endurance rim’s front plate have different outlines; their sticker collections serve different visible layouts.

Will a GT3 Endurance skin fit a McLaren GT3 or the GT3 rim without “Endurance”?

Do not assume so. Those names identify different hardware. Match the exact wheel model and front-face layout to the product description and pictures.
